Dear Center Parents and Guardians,
To ensure that our students finish up the 2010-2011 school year strong, we are proud to announce the grand re-opening of the Homework Club that will take place April 5th and will continue through the rest of the year.
The procedure will be as following:
- Identified students will be invited to join the HW Club. Those students are instructed to meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 pm, from now on till the end of the year.
- On Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 and 6 period teachers release HWC members 2 minutes earlier; the students go to the Commons Area for taking attendance first
- When all Center students are released, HWC members proceed to room 363 staffed with some staff members and work on homework completion for an hour
Please also note that anyone with an unexcused absence loses an opportunity to make up work for that class unless the teacher agrees that missed work could be made up in the Homework Club.
Also, to recognize students as a part of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies), a Dragon Board has been created. Our staff will post notes of recognition on the board that is located at the school entrance.
Thank you for your continued support. Along with the staff here at The Center, our parents/guardians, students and community members are what make our school a great place to be!
