The Source is a useful tool provided by the Seattle School district to check grades, assessments, and attendance. If you are a first time user, please read login information below.
Student Logins
The Center School has a unique computer setup. As a result, the first time a student logs on to the Source they need to log on from one of the Apple computers at school. Here are the login instructions:
- Go to the Apple login screen. If someone is already logged on to the computer, go to the blue apple in the top corner of the screen and log out.
- For your username, enter "ctr_(first initial)(middle initial)(last name)". For example, if your name is Jane Marie Smith, your username is "ctr_jmsmith".
- For your password, use your birthday in the format "mmddyyyy". For example, if your birthday is June 1st, 1992, your password is "06011992".
- Once you log in, it will prompt you to change your password. Change it to something you will remember. This will be the password you will use when logging on to The Source.
- You are now ready to log in to The Source through the School District website. Your username is the one you just used, and the password is the new password you chose.
- REMEMBER TO LOG OFF THE COMPUTER WHEN YOU ARE DONE. You have created an account at The Center School as well as on The Source. You can use the account to save important work to The Center School server. If you forget to log out, other students will have access to your account.
- If you followed the directions above and are having difficulties, come see Ms. Katz before or after school on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians can also set up an account to access The Source. Please go to The Source's website and follow the directions.
