Welcome back to school.
The process of getting ready for school is daunting, as is form completion and return so we’ll keep this brief.
- Communication breeds commitment.
- Taking an active role in your student’s school demonstrates that school is important and this has shown to have academic benefits.
- Showing up at school and school functions means you get to find out what is really going on.
- Parents of color are way under represented at Center School functions and events.
- This is the year of the challenge. Each of you can reach out and participate in some way.
- The CSCA Board is committed to making all events accessible to all families. If there is a problem with members of your family participating, please let us know. Call Sabrina at 206.783.5863 or email Paul at CSCA@me.com. We will find a way to help you to participate.
- Translation services are available from the district at no cost to the CSCA or The Center School. Let us know what languages you need and we will MAKE IT HAPPEN.
- School to home communication will be accomplished electronically thru the BLAST when possible. When families have not provided an email address, students will get paper copies to take home. A “Robo-Call” will come home to let you know that there is something to read about school.
- The Center School is a special place and more and more people are figuring that out. There is a ton of stuff to do and myriad ways to participate.
- In the spirit of communication we are committed to keeping the Website up to date and the community involved.
Please mark your calendars for Sunday, October 3rd at 4:00 pm.
